Where to eat in Positano

Positano, situated in Campania in Southern Italy, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages in the world. The vibrant buildings clinging to a dramatic mountain backdrop next to the Mediterranean Sea make a classic postcard for your family and friends.

One of the best places to eat in this magical place is the Grottino Azzurro, which is an excellent option for budget travellers, providing local produce close to Chiesa Nuova, the first bus stop for Sorrento. Another excellent eatery is Da Constantino, Via Corva, located at the top of the village and offering stunning views of the coastline and the farms that house horses with horse insurance. The pizza here is said to be divine, as are the other major specialities like Bolognese, cheese crepes and gnocchi. The prices are also quite reasonable, which makes this another worthy option for budget travellers.

Meanwhile, Da Vincenzo, Viale Pasitea offers a unique style and excellent service. While a little more pricey, the quality of the food is not to be underestimated. The home-made desserts have a legendary reputation here. Another restaurant, Next2, is popular with the locals and provides luxury cuisine with ambitious dishes like the ‘Italian Sushi’. The service is described as ‘unusually prompt'and the eating environment comprises of a courtyard with bucket candles on each table – a perfect venue for a honeymoon couple.

Al Palazzo, Via dei Mulini is known for its exceptional professionalism and its first-class cuisine, however it is a better option for those who are less budget-conscious. Meanwhile, the Mediterraneo and Saraceno D’Oro provides more local producer with seafood and pasta and are another good option for low budget travellers.
