Siesta Key Beach: A Great Florida Destination
Siesta Key Beach is located on the Gulf Coast side of Florida and is one of the top white sand beaches in the world. However, it seems as though everyone I talk to outside of Florida has never heard about it. This is a place you don’t want to miss.
The only way to describe the way the white sand feels at Siesta Key is what I always imagined walking on a cloud would feel like as a child. It’s incredibly soft and cool to the touch. Yes, even in the dead heat of summer the sand is refreshing. There are areas of the beach that have sand bars where you can walk out a good 100 feet out into the water and the water is barely up to your knees. It’s a great opportunity to find some really nice shells and spot ocean life.
Siesta Key is in a great part of Florida as well. There’s an area called Saint Armand’s Circle where there are some really great shops to visit and wonderful food to eat. The restaurants all have outdoor seating where you can sit and people watch, or catch a glimpse of the Lamborghinis or Ferrari’s that drive around Saint Armand’s Circle.
The night life at Siesta Key can be really great as well. They have nights where they have drummers play and people can sit and listen or dance along. They have fireworks at times, and it’s a great spot to watch the sunset.
Siesta Key Beach might be one of the top white sand beaches in the world, but I’ve found way too many people who have never heard of the area. So, the next time you’re thinking of visiting Florida, get yourself to a cheap car rental usa outlet, and breeze down to the West coast. Take a trip to see what this gorgeous beach has to offer.
